This critical knowledge was earned during significant doctoral and post-doctoral research at a number of prestigious European Universities working on an array of projects as diverse as remote foetal cardiac monitoring at the University of Swansea to developing geophysical prospecting tools utilising superconducting quantum interference devices (SQUIDs) used to help identify mineral and hydrocarbon deposits without the need to undertake invasive mining or drilling operations.
